YALLOURN STRIKE
A BETTER OUTLOOK. INFORMAL CONFERENCE HELD. Melbourne, December 2. As the result of developments there is a more hopeful outlook with regard to the Yallourn strike. An informal conference was held at the Arbitration Court between Judge Larkin and representatives of the Australian Workers’ Union. Representatives of the Electricity Commission were also present. Judge Larkin urged the union representatives to try to induce the men to resume without further trouble, and after a discussion they agreed to do so.—A. and NX.
