The coastal steamer Calm has been delayed at Wanganui and will not arrive at Bluff until December 8. She returns to the north the same day. The Karetu was timed to leave Lyttelton at 3 p.m. yesterday for Bluff. She is due this evening and sails on Monday for Syd-

The Federal steamer Northumberland is timed to sail from Liverpool to-morrow for Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. Another projected sailing of the Federal Line is the Hertford, which will leave Liverpool on December 31 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and New Plymouth.

The steamer Trelissick left Montreal on November 25 with Canadian cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. The vessel is due at Auckland about January 8, and at Dunedin about January 22.

The Canadian Explorer will sail from Halifax on December 24 with general cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff.

The following are the movements of American-Australian-Orient steamers in the New Zealand services: The West Conob cleared Los Angeles on November 22 for Auckland and southern ports. She is due at Auckland on December 17, and after discharge in New Zealand will return to the Pacific Coast, taking cargo for San Francisco and Vancouver. The West Calera is to clear Los Angeles on December 4 for Auckland (where she is due on December 28) and Wellington. The Elkridge is to sail on December 18 for Auckland (January 11) and southern ports. The West Cajoot, West Nivaria, Montague, West Henshaw, West Lslip and West Conob are to leave Los Angeles for Auckland and other New Zealand ports at fortnightly intervals. MAHENO DELAYED. Owing to bad weather in the n .rrti the Union Company’s steamer Maheno, bound for Melbourne, via Bluff, has been delayed. She is now scheduled to leave Dunedin tomorrow afternoon, and will arrive at Bluff on Sunday morning, sailing for Melbourne direct on Monday afternoon. The saloon passengers who will join the boat at Bluff are: —Mrs H. F. Peterson, Miss Frances Dale, Miss O. Dixon, Mrs J. W. A. Prentice. Miss Crofts and Mr C. G. Broadbent.
