COAL STRIKE
SETTLEMENT IN SOUTH WALES. MEN TO RESUME IMMEDIATELY. London, November3o. After a six-hours’ conference the .South Wales miners reached a settlement and will resume work to-morrow night. The agreement lasts until 1929, the men working eight-hour shifts. —A. and NX NEARLY HAM 1 A MILLION WORKING. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, November 30. With the completion of more district arrangements 24,500 miners resumed to-day. The total is now nearly 500,000. —A, and N.Z.
