AMUNDSEN’S VENTURE
VALUABLE RELICS STOLEN. Oslo, October 29. No fewer than 209 big cases from Captain Amundsen’s Arctic ship Maude have arrived, but the whole of the contents are missing except the ship’s scientific instruments. It is believed they were stolen between Seattle and Vancouver. They include valuable furs and various curios.—A. & N.Z.
