A NOTABLE YEAR
FASCISM’S REMARKABLE PROGRESS. SPEECH BY MUSSOLINI Rome, October 29. Mussolini, speaking at the fourth anniversary of the Fascist revolution, declared that never before in Italian history had so much been done in twelve months. Fascism’s greatest merit was that the nation’s armed forces were to-day ready in any eventuality. This new spirit was due to the Fascist regime alone. He added that foreign relations were particularly happy. The closing of the traditional outlets of migration had resulted in the intensification of work in the colonies. Italy had, without resistance, occupied Jarabub and extended her domination of Somaliland and brought Rhodes and the Aegean Islands within the Fatherland. She was carrying out developments in Tripolitana, Cyrenaica, and Abyssinia, and shortly Massowah would be the premier port of the Red Sea.—A. &NX
