“A WASTE OF TIME”
UNIVERSITY TRAINING FOR BUSINESS. London, October 27. “For business a university training is an absolute waste of time,” asserts Mr. W. B. Morris, toe noted motor ear manufacturer. “Though there are exceptions, I have never found a university trainee any use in my organisation. The university will not confer those qualities essential in commerce, but obliterates them if they are originally present. It does not give an understanding of the workers' psychology essential to the carrying on, on a large scale, of business. I started life in an engineering shop and therefore know what the workers think. Nobody can succeed without that imderEtandmg. University men absorb the idea that life is an easy thing, and pay too great attention to sport and pleasure.”—Sun Cable.
