WELLINGTON SESSION. ' (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 27. At the Supreme Court the following senfences were passed by the Chief Justice, Mr C. P. Skerrett, to-day:— Thomas Harrison, described as a reputed pickpocket known as “Adelaide Tom,” attempted theft and being a rogue and vagabond, 12 months’ hard labour on each charge concurrently. Herbert Bayne, breaking and entering, 18 months’ hard labour. Robert Campbell, attempt to defraud the Commercial Bank of Australia of £586, three years’ hard labour. William George Johnston, indecent assault on a male, three charges, two years. His Honour said he was satisfied accused was a persistent corrupter of youth and a menace to the young.
