THE ARAWA TRIBE
BRONZE TABLETS PRESENTED. (Per United Prees Association.) Rotorua, October 15. Last night the Hon. R. F. Bollard presented the Arawa tribe with handsome bronze tablets in commemoration of the American fleet visit, sent by Admiral Robinson and officers of the fleet. The Minister took advantage of the occasion to refer to the coming visit of the Duke of York. He said he trusted the Arawas would give him a royal reception. He gave a sympathetic hearing to various requests and was accorded very hearty thanks by the assembled natives.
