SERIOUS SMASH
VAN DERAILED. FIVE SERIOUSLY INJURED. (Rec. 1.15 a.m.) Sydney, September 27. A serious railway accident accurred near Brewarrina on the Barwon River, 500 miles north-west from Sydney. The brake-van of a goods train jumped the rails and five men in the van were seriously injured and sent to hospital. The cause of the accident is unknown. —A. and N.Z.
