M. ZINOVIEV

BANISHMENT TO SIBERIA REPORTED. Berlin, August 2. It is reported on good authority that M. Zinoviev will go to Siberia immediately on what is described as “two years leave of absence.’’ The Tagliche Rundschau declares this bandishment of the Communist International leader is quite in approved fashion of the Tsarist regime . It simply shows that the struggle for supremacy between the right and left wings of Sovietism ended temporarily with a victory for the Stalin group with which Trotsky has apparently not patched up a compromise.—A. and N.Z.
