PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special meeting of the Invercargill Borough Council held on the 25th day of May 1926 it was resolved to make by Special Order “The Invercargill Bylaw No. 13,” the object and purport of which is as follows: 1. IN respect of Machines for the supply of Petrol, Air and Water on the kerbs of footpaths within the Borough. Defining the parts of Dee and Tay Streets in which no new licenses shall be granted. Licenses for machines on the kerb of any one street frontage of any Block to be granted to one and the same person or firm only. The requirements of. applications for licenses. Fee for a Petrol tank under a footpath £5 10/- a year, if not under a footpath £3 13/- a year, the Council having the right to prescribe new fees by resolution; a Dangerous Goods license also being required; also an agreement and indemnity to be signed; also provisions in respect of transfer of license, work of construction, repairs, removals, repairing of footpaths, trade names, lighting and other matters. 2. IN respect of the standing of vehicles in Leven Street and Railway Station Zone from corner of Crescent to North of Carters’ shelter, empowering the Traffic Inspector to control the standing and placing of vehicles, and fixing standing places for vehicles for hire and private motor cars, for purposes relative to Railway Station. 3. REQUIRING names of owners to be painted on Trade vehicles, vehicles plying for hire (except Taxi cars), drays, carts and lorries. NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that it is intended to confirm the said resolution either with or without amendment, as a special order at a special meeting of the Council, to be held in the Town Hall, Tay Street, Invercargill, on Tuesday the 22nd day of June 1926 at 7.30 o’clock p.m. when the day upon which the said Bylaw shall come into force will be fixed, the date proposed being the Ist day of July 1926. A copy of the said Bylaw is deposited in the public office of the Council.and is open for inspection of the public during office hours until and inclusive of the 22nd day of June 1926. F.
