SOUTHLAND STOCK
ANOTHER BIG SHIPMENT. The demand for Southland bred Border Leicesters for use in Australia continues, and the latest consignment to go forward was drawn from Mr W. Kennedy’s wellknown stud at Otautau. The shipment was a large one, and one of the biggest made from Southland, a total of 184 selected rams going forward. The draft included 10 Border Leicester stud cams and 174 flock ram lambs. The rams were shipped in excellent condition and should further enhance the reputation of Southland stock in Australia. The selection was carefully made and once the sheep become acclimatised they should increase the productivity of the flocks into which they are introduced.
