DISAPPOINTMENT EXPRESSED. WEST COAST “LEFT OUT.” (Per United Press Association.) Westport, June 15. General disappointment is expressed in the Buller district that there is not a single player chosen in the hockey team to represent New Zealand. It was generally expected that H. Lockey, who brilliantly represented New Zealand in the Australian tour and is playing better hockey to-day, would have been selected. From Westland right round to Marlborough finds not one representative in either the New Zealand hockey or Rugby teams, yet nowhere in the Dominion is interest in these games keener than in this extended area.
