THE WEATHER
STATISTICS FOR APRIL, Varied conditions, ranging from wintry coldness to unusually fine weather, were experienced during the month just closed, I which is usually marked by a fairly heavy • rainfall. April this year, however, was more noticeable on account of the dullness of the weather. Cloudy conditions were experienced every day during the month and on only 15 days was the sun visible for even a brief space of time. The rainfall for the month was 3.30 inches, which is slightly below normal. Detailed figures, as compiled by Mr. L. Lennie, are as follows:
