DOMINION PRODUCE
MARKETING PROBLEMS. QUESTIONS IN COMMONS. London, Feb. 23. In the House of Commons to-day a long series of questions was submitted to the Secretary for the Dominions (Mr Amery) as to whether anything had'yet been settled with regard to the allocation of £1,009,000 towards the subvention for the marketing of dominion produce. Mr Amery said that the matter was now being considered with the dominions, and he hoped to be able to make an announcement scon Mr P. Hurd (Con.) and Mr P. A. Harris (Lib.) both pressed for the inclusion of representative British farmers and for their produce to share in the subvention. Mr Harris added: Will you tell the representatives of the dominions that our farmers are poorer than theirs? Mr Amery said that home produce might come within the scope of the subvention. Mr Hurd: Do you remember Mr Bruce, when he was here in 1923, saying that the dominion farmers realised that first place in the British interest belonged to the home producers? Mr Amery did not reply—Sun Special
