SERIES OF CONFERENCES. NEW ZEALAND’S REPRESENTATIVE. (Per United Press Association.) Ashburton, Mar. 16. Mr Robert Bell, of Christchurch, vicepresident of the Press Congress of the World, has been advised that the third series of conferences of that body will be held at Geneva and Lausanne, Switzerland, from September 14 to 18, 1926. The Carmania, of the Cunard Line has been selected as the official ship, and is timed to leave New York on September 4. Prior to sailing there will be a four days round of sight-seeing in New York. The Carmania, according to the official itinerary, is due to arrive at Havre on September 12, whence the delegates take special train for Lausanne, which will be reached oh September 13. Following four days’ sessions there will be trips over Bernese Oberland, to Interlaken, a coaching tour up the Lauter-Brunnen Valley to Trummelbach Falls, ascent of the Rigi at Lake Lucerne, and visits to Paris, Brussels and London. The Cunard liner, Lancastria, is timed to sail with the party returning to New York on October 9. Mr Bell will leave New Zealand about the middle of April for Sydney where he will join one of the steamers of the Aberdeen Line for South Africa. He w’il! leave the steamer at Durban, spend a month in South Africa joining up with the following steamer of the same line to London, via Tenerifle.
