THE DAVIS CUP. EUROPEAN CONTEST?. PARIS, June 14. In the Davis Cup match, France v. Italy, Brughton and Lacoste beat Morpurgo and Colombo 6—l, 6—l, 6—l. France now plays England in the semifinals of the European zone, probably at Eastbourne in July. AMSTERDAM, June 14. In the Holland v. Sweden Davis Cup contests Van Lenney and Diemerkool beat Wallanberg and Von Braun 3—6, 6—l, 6—4, 9—7.
WIMBLEDON TOURNAMENT. ARRANGEMENTS ANNOUNCED. LONDON, June 14. For the Wimbledon tennis tournament Mrs Melody partners Miss St. George in the ladies' doubles. F. M. B. Fisher partners Mrs Craddock, and Mr Melody partners Mrs Melody in the mixed doubles.
