DUTIES ADOPTED BA’ COMMONS. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Reuter’s Telegrams.) LONDON, June 10. (Received June 11, 8.30 p.m.) The House of Commons, by substantial majorities, rejected a number of amendments, mostly designed to delay the operation of the silk tax. Mr Winston Churchill declared he was convinced that the duties would considerably stimulate the British natural silk industry. The duties were adopted by 260 votes to 131.
