CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD DEBENTURES. • • £50,000 AT 5i PER CENT. Investors will welcome the opportunity of again taking up Christchurch Drainage Board Debentures. Applications are invited for debentures which will be issued at par, in nominations of £lOO, £5OO and £l,OOO. Payment of interest at the rate of 5$ per cent, is made on the 31st March, and 30th September of each year. Interest is paid in full without deduction of any description and is calculated from the date of receipt of application money. This loan is issued under the authority of “Thie Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913” and Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1907,” security being afforded by a Special Rate of Id in the £ on the capital value of an area valued at £14,500,000 and l|d in the £ on the capital value of an area valued at £6,500,000. * The period of the loan terminates in 1973, but the Board retains the right of redemption of the whole or any portion after 1938. These debentures will always be readily negotiable. Brokerage of 10/- per cent, will be paid to Registered Sharebrokers and to Banks doing business in the Dominion. .
