FOOTBALL

TO-DAY’S G.AMES. Added interest will be given to Saturday’s Rugby games in view of the fact that nominations for the New Zealand team to tour Australia close next week. A fine game should eventuate on No. 1 area between Pirates and Marist. Pirates put up a great game against Star last week and lost in the last few minutes. Marist, who are a much improved team, had a good win against Blues. A fast and open game should be witnessed. On No. 2 area, Star and Invercargill, rivals over a period of about 40 years, will meet and a good game should be the issue. should be represented by a stronger combination than last week and Star will probably have the same team.
