OHAI NEEDS
DAILY MAILS AND TRAINS At the opening of the Ohai railway, which was held on Thursday, Mr J. C. Thomson, M.P. for Wallace, referred to the needs of Ohai and said that the residents should press their claims for a daily mail and passenger service while the heads of the various Departments were present. He abo mentioned that Nightcaps required an up-to-date siding and station buildings to re place those which would soon be discarded. In reply Mr A. W. Rodger said the Board was alive to the needs of Ohai and were at present negotiating with the Department with regard to the running of a passenger service to the fields. The daily mail would also receive the Board’s attention and he could assure them that it would not be very long before they had a daily mail service.
