SHEEPDOG TRIALS.

THE GORE CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Gore Sheep Dog Trials Club was held on Saturday afternoon. Mr John Smith presided, and the following members also attended: —Messrs S. G. Inder, Hugh Smith, R. L. Byars, M. R. Lawlor, H. Briggs, R. Dodds, T. Lennie, J. Waddell, E. McLeod, T. McPhail, P. White, G. Smith and M. McLay. An apology was received from Mr G. P. Johnston. The balante-sheet, which was adopted at the previous meeting, showed that the past year opened with a credit balance of £6 2/10 and closed with one of £l4 8/9, an increase of £8 5/11 for the year. Dodds, H. Mclntyre, H. Smith, M. R. Lawlor, R. Byars, P. White, M. McLay, A. Copland, T. Logan, and K. Pratt; Secretary, Mr.T. Sim; Superintendent, Mr C. Cooper; Timekeepers, Messrs D. M, Thompson and I. T. Martin; Flag Stewards, Messrs Lawlor, Milne, Copland, Cullen, H. Smith and G. Whittingham; Judge’s Assistant, Mr R. Dodds.

Last year’s programme was adopted for the coming Trials. This provides for the following events: —(1) Maiden; (2) Driving and Yarding; (3) Long Pull; (4) Huntaway; (5) Consolation. The Trials will be held about April 22 or 23. The date will be fixed definitely later.
