DR. SUN YAT SEN

DEATH IN POVERTY. PLACED COUNTRY BEFORE HIMSELF. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Reuter’s Telegrams.) PEKIN, March 13. Dr. Sun Yat Sen left two wills. The first, which was addressed to his colleagues, said: “For the past 40 years I have engaged myself in a national revolution aiming to secure freedom and equality for China. To gain such ends we must urge the masses to co-operate with those races of the world that have treated us equally. The revolution is not yet completed. My colleagues ought to strive continually in accordance with my writings and work to achieve the convocation of a national conference for the abolition of unequal treaties.” The other will says: “I have sacrificed myself for national affairs, so I have no property to leave. I have only my books and clothes and my house, all of which go to my wife as a remembrance.”
