WOOL AND SILK

MAKING A NEW CLOTH.

(By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.)

LONDON, March 13

The Yorkshire correspondent of the Daily Mail says: Textile manufacturers secretly experimented with producing cloth composed of wool and 10 to 40 per cent, of artificial silk for men’s and women's wear.

The fabrics are mixed before spinning and the silk gives the textile a rich appearance, the durability being excellent. It can be dyed in two contrasting colours. Experts have given it favourable consideration and the capital is available for development.
