ANNUAL MEETING. RESOLUTIONS PASSED. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 12. The annual convention of the New Zea land Coach and Motor Body Builders’ Industrial Association of Employees was was opened yesterday. The report of the executive stated that the returns recently supplied by the Customs Department at the request of the Association, in regard to the importation of motor vehicles, should be looked oa as more than satisfactory, although the immense number of completed cars in proportion to the chassis that were imported, was still a matter of much concern. At the coming elections it would be necessary for each member of the trade, to give his support to the candidate who would pledge himself to the building up of the secondary industries.

The Officers were elected as follows: President, H. Bate (Napier). Vice-Presidents, North Island, W. V. Ridley (Wellington), South Island, A. Johnson (Christchurch). Secretary and Treasurer, V. Grant (Christchurch). Tariff Committee, E. C. Harvie (Chairman), D. H. Taylor, and the President. It was decided to hold the next conference at Dunedin in the second week of March.
