DAD MUST PAY
SON’S WILD OATS CROP. (Sun Special). MONTREAL January 14. Charles Cahan, a leading Canadian lawyer who went to Europe some time ago, left power of attorney to his son, who beare the same name. During his father's absence young Cahan dissipated £50,000 in riotous living, and when Cahan, senr., returned he sued a bank for cashing cheques for manifestly ridiculous amounts. The judge quoted Mr .lustice Darling in the “Mr A." cue, and decided that the I .nd: had not been negligent. Young Caban, ha said, had stolen the money from his father, .nd nobody else could have a title to it.
