! Experiments with a new road surfacing I material are to be carried out by the British Minister of Transport. Railway sleepers impregnated with creosote last for years, and it is believed that similarly impregnated sawdust mixed in with a tarmac bitumen. or asphalt top-dressing would provide a non-slipping and a wea-ther-proof road surface.
