WOMEN’S NOTES.
BROWN SLIPPERS. A girl who partnered one of the princes at a favourite dance club recently wore beech brown satin slippers with filmy beige silk stockings. These were noticed by most of the folk who were present, and many women resolved to buy a pair of brown dance slippers before the end of the day. Demure slippers of brown satin, free from any sort of decorative detail, and mostly without straps, are among the dance fashions of the season which are certain to win great popularity. Such a famous “dance girl” as Phyllis Monkman says that these new brown slippers can be worn with dresses of almost any colour, and this alone gives such shoes a tremendous advantage. The recent fashion demand that every dance frock should have slippers to match it has been a great strain upon the dress allowance of the average woman.
