PRIEST AND RUM RUNNERS. HIS BIG ROUND-UP. (Sun Special). NEWARK (N.J.), December 7. Scenting violations of the prohibition law in his parish at Weehawken, the Rev. Father Bennett has assembled evidence which has resulted in the issue of indictments against nine policemen, a commissioner of police, and a millionaire broker. For two months the priest made midnight visits in disguise among rum smugglers. It is predicted that the incriminating net which the priest has woven may extend to Washington.
