SATURDAY’S FIXTURES. INVERCARGILL COMPETITIONS. Saturday’s fixtures were played under almost ideal conditions, the greens being in excellent order. The Southland green was particularly keen and the Te Rangi players found it somewhat difficult to accustom themselves to the change from their own green. Southland was up in all rinks except one and won by a substantial margin. The Waihopai team visited Bluff and although the game was very even until well on, the port men eventually finished up with a lead of 19 points. Invercargill was up in all three rinks against Woodlands. The scores were as follow: SOUTHLAND v TE RANGE

BLUFF v WAIHOPAI. Four rinks from Waihopai motored to Bluff on Saturday to fulfil the inter-club and A grade engagements, and in the absence of several of their leading players, are to be congratulated on their showing against their more experienced opponents. The green was in splendid order, while the refreshments provided by the Bluff ladies was even superior to their usual efforts.
