COMMUNISTS ROBBED BY A RUSE. LONDON, November 4. Three unknown men rushed breathless in to the lodgings of Mr John Hughes, the leader of the Liverpool Communists, saying that Hughes had been arrested. They demanded secret books and papers “to prevent their falling into the hands of the oplice, who were following on their heels.” The housekeeper unsuspectingly permitted their removal. Hughes has appealed to the police for their recovery.
