STEWART ISLAND
SERVICE TO THE BLUFF MILFORD SOUND STEAMER - CEASES The Government has decided to grant £lOOO through the Supplementary Estimates to subsidise the steamer service between Bluff and Stewart Island. The original proposal was to subsidise the Stewart Island-Milford Sound service. Mr P. A. de la Perrelle on behalf of the Bluff Harbour Board and residents representation to the Government pointing out that the Milford Sound service would not be satisfactory. He has now beep advised that it will be cut out and the Stewart Island-Bluff service substituted.
