TONS OF TIMBER
CANADA WANTS PREFERENCE. (Sun Special). VICTORIA (8.C.), October 21. A delegation from the British Columbia timber trade interviewed the Prime Minister (Mr Mackenzie King) who if on a visit here, and told him that the inclusion of timber products in Australia’s preference to Canada would mean an additional annual shipment of lumber from here to the Commonwealth of 140,000,000-ft, roughly 40 complete cargoes. The Premier promised to make representations with the object of capturing the whole lumber and sash door trade with Australia if possible.
