BLACK—On October 27, 1924, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs J. L. Brown, 84 Harper Street, Sydenham, Christchurch, Isabella Bates, widow of the late Thomas Black; in her 78th year. (Formerly of Lumsden and Invercargill). WOODS—At his residence, Bluff, on Wednesday, sth November, 1924, Joseph, beloved husband of Mary Woods; aged 72 years. “Deeply mourned.” The funeral will leave the house at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday, Bth inst., for St. Mathew’s Church, en route for the Bluff Cemetery.
