FIGURES FOR AUGUST. DECREASE LN GRADING FIGURES. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 9. The figures of the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture show that the salted butter graded for August, 1924, totalled 1875 tons, and the unsalted 5 tons, a total of 1880 tons, compared with 2030 tons of salted and 9 tons of unsalted, a total of 2039 tons for August last year. This is a decrease of 11.8 per cent. The cheese graded for August, 1924, comprised: White 109 tons, coloured 99 tons, total 208 tons, compared with 182 tons of white and 116 tons of coloured, a total of 298 tons last year, a decrease of 30.2 per cent. Converting these figures into butter-fat equivalent, there is a decrease of 9.2 per cent, in butter-fat for the month as compared with August last year.
