POWER BOARDS
CONFERENCE MATTERS. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 31. Important matters will be discussed at the annual conference of the Electric Power Boards Association of New Zealand next week. One of the most important is in reference to the agreement between the Minister of Public Works and the Power Boards, in regard to supply from the Government. A remit from the Manawatu-Oroua Board asks that the Conference discuss the clauses of the agreement between the Minister and the Boards taking power from Mangahao. It is stated that the Government entered into an agreement to supply power to a large firm. There may be some opposition to the Government supplying large commercial or business underakings with power at the same rate as it is being supplied to power boards.
