EXPENDITURE TOR CRUISER SANCTIONED. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) MELBOURNE, July 31. (Received August 1, la.m.). In the Federal House of Representatives, the Defence Equipment Bill, allocating £2,500,000 for defence purposes, passed all stages. The money represents the cost of construction of one of the two proposed new druisers, on which the estimated outlay is about £2,200,000.
