Probate on the will of Alfred Kihau Dawson was granted to John Topi and James Dawson, the executives named in the will. Probate of the will of Martha Dallas was refused under Section 134 of the Native Land Act 1909 on the grounds that neither of the attesting witnesses was a statutory witness within the meaning of the Act. Numerous sales of timber in the Hokonui and Atton blocks were confirmed. At the conclusion of the sessions Mr George Skerrett proposed a vote of thanks to the presiding Judge for the patient hearing and careful consideration that had been given to the various cases brought before the Court.* Mr James Wixon seconded the motion, which was carried by acclamation. Judge Gilfedder suitably responded.
