VISIT TO AMERICA AND CANADA. INVITATION ENTHUSIASTICALLY ACCEPTED. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, July 7. (Received July 8, 9.35 p.m.) The Washington correspondent of the New York Times learns that the Prince of Wales, travelling incognito as Baron Renfrew, is expected to come to the United States to attend polo matches early in September between America and Britain. The Prince, though himself an ardent player, will not participate in any official mateftes, but he expects to join in the preliminary practice matches in which his countryment will compete. The Prince’s visit to the United States will occupy a fortnight after which he will probably return to his ranch in Canada. The suggestion for the Prince’s visit came in a letter from Mr L. E. Stoddart, Chairman of the Polo Association, to Captain Frederick Guest, a member of the Prince’s entourage, who replied that the Prince would probably enthusiastically accept an official invitation which was forthwith despatched.
