The Kauri did not get away last night, and is now to sail to-day for Port Chalmers and Sydney. The Turakina sails to-morrow to continue her Homeward loading at Tokomaru Bay, Gisborne and Wellington. The Wanaka, from Auckland via Wellington and Dunedin, is due at Bluff on Friday and sails the next day for Auckland via ports. The Moeraki was to leave Melbourne yesterday for Bluff. She is due on Saturday afternoon and will probably sail the same night for Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington and Melbourne. The Kent is due from Liverpool via northern ports to complete discharge at Bluff about Monday next. The Waikouaiti is scheduled to leave Sydney to-day for Hobart, thence Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru and Lyttelton. She is due here about July 15. The Tremere was to leave New York last Saturday with cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. The Doonholm is to leave New York on July 30, taking cargo for Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. The Government steamer Tutanekai is to leave Wellington to-morrow for the southern lighthouses. After completing her usual itinerary, she will proceed to Campbell, Auckland, Bounty and Antipodes Islands in search of castaways. She will be away from Wellington for about six weeks. PORT OF INVERCARGILL. The Kotare is expected to arrive in Invercargill from Dunedin to-day, sailing to-night or Thursday morning for Riverton. She has practically a full cargo for Xi verton. Arrived—John from Timaru. DRIVEN ASHORE. SCHOONER ON THE BEACH. GISBORNE, July 8. The schooner War Lord was driven ashore during the gale last evening on Opoutama Beach, Mahia. She is now high and dry, and her crew are safe. The vessel is reported undamaged. The War Lord is a three-masted wooden •hooner of 98 gross tons. She was built in .917 in New South Wales for L. J. J. Tunter, of Sydney. MAUNGANUI DELAYED. PROPELLER BLADE BROKEN. WELLINGTON, July 8. When the mail steamer Maunganui, which arrived to-day, was four days out from San Francisco, one of the blades of her propeller stripped. The vessel's speed was slightly reduced for the remainder of the journey, but the damaged propeller was not, however, the main factor in the Maunganui being 24 hours late. She was delayed at Raratonga loading a fruit cargo and did not leave that port until midnight on Tuesday, almost four•een hours late.
