The following business was transacted at the Gore Magistrate’s Court for the quarter ended June 30, 1924:—Sittings presided over by S.M.—civil 11, criminal 10; sittings presided over by J’s. P.—civil 0, criminal 1; civil cases tried by S.M.—6; applications heard in Court or Chambers—--3; plaints entered, 125; distress warrants issued, 2; judgment summonses issued, 16; warrants of committal issued, 1; crimihal cases, against males, 34; against females, 4; fees and fines:—Civil fees, £139 15/-; criminal fees £9 10/6; fines, £24 15/-; licensing fees, 10/-; total £174 10/6.
