ASTOUNDING SCENE
NAKED MAN IN CHURCH. SEQUEL TO AN ILLNESS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) LONDON, July 7. (Received July 7, 11 p.m.). fhere was an astounding scene at the Baptist Chapel at Luton. The Minister had just left the pulpit, when the amazed congregation saw a man, stark naked, with his hands dripping with blood, rush into the Church, dash up the pulpit stairs and begin an oration in the rostrum. The scandalised parson rushed back and several other men made a dash at the intruder, who made a frenzied struggle for several minutes, before he could be carried into the vestry. He was found to be a well-to-do tradesman, highly religious, who had been ill for some days. He had escaped from a sickroom. Smashing the glass panels in the front doer, he \ tore off his clothes in the street and then ran into the well-filled auesu towards the Church.
