TO THE CROWN TENANTS AND SETTLERS OF SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT. T HAVE TO INFORM YOU that I have -L established a Settlers’ Inquiry Bureau in Dunedin for the Otago District and now propose to extend my operations to include Southland. The object of the Bureau is to solve the difficulties that so often beset the struggling settler, either by giving advice or bringing questions before the ’Land Boards, making applications for land in any part of the Dominion, and to do everything possible to help the settlers, either Returned Soldiers or Civilians. Having served as Commissioner of Crown Lands in Nelson, Hawke’s Bay and Otago for the past 16 years, I have a good knowledge of the lands in those districts and have arranged for the receipt of information of all lands being opened for sale or selection over the whole Dominion. Having retired from the Public Service after 48 years’ of continuous hard work, I find that after a few months’ rest that I require some definite occupation and could not do better than devote my time towards helping the settlers with whom I have been so closely associated all my life, and who are the backbone of “God’s Own Country,” the Dominion of New Zealand. Any written communications sent to P.O. Box 709, Dunedin, or personal inquiries at my Office, Reid’s Buildings, Liverpool St., Dunedin, will receive careful consideration and attention; and my charges will be moderate. —Yours faithfully, R. T. SADD. SAVE MONEY ON SUITS at Carter’s Clothing Store in Tay Street. We will allow 20/- Reduction off all BOXED SUITS and 10 per cent reduction of all Boys’ Suite for 14 days.
