TERRIBLE LONELINESS

Mrs Audrey Tonks, a recent arrival from New Zealand, was found dead in a flat at Coogee with her head inside a stove and the gas turned on. It is also believed she had previously taken a strong dose of poison. She left a letter stating that her loneliness was unbearable. It has been ascertained that her husband went away last Thursday, while Mrs Tonks was out, and left a note saying he would return in two days, but he did not. The deceased was much depressed.
