EDUCATION BOARD
NOMINATIONS FOR VACANCIES. The following nominations have been received to fill the vacancies on the Southland Education Board caused by the retirement of Messrs J. C. Thomson, M.P., F. W. Preddy, H. E. Niven and J. D. Trotter, on completion of their term of office:— West Ward: Mr J. C. Thomson, M.P. East Ward: Messrs H. E. Niven and Stanley Rice.
Central Ward: Mr J. D. Trotter and Rev. John Anderson Reilly. Invercargill Urban Area: Messrs Arthur Anderson and A. W. Jones.
The date of the election is Wednesday, July 16.
