WHILE SCHOOL BURNED

CHOIR LOOKS ON. (Sun Special.) MELBOURNE, June 16. While a church choir looked on, a fire completely destroyed a wooden Sunday school next to St. Augustine’s Church of England, at North Brunswick last night. When the firemen arrived, the flames, which appeared to have started in a room at the rear, had got a good hold, and to save the school was impossible, so the firemen turned their attention to the adjacent buildings. They succeeded in saving them, although the wall and roof of the kindergarten school at the rear was burnt slightly. The damage is estimated at about £l4OO. The building and contents were covered partly by insurance. When it was ail over the choir went into the church and practised.
