FIRE ON OIL-FREIGHTER. (By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright.) NEW YORK, June 24. Five men are missing and eight seriously injured as the result of an explosion of naphtha aboard the British freighter Egermont Castle at dock. The vessel’s cargo consisted of 100,000 gallons of highest airplane gasolene, 100,000 gallons of naphtha and a large quantity of motor oil. The flames spread rapidly. The hatches were battened down and the vessel towed into the river and sunk.
