TOBACCONIST LOSES £5OO. (Sun SpeciaL) LONDON, June 13. Four men with a motor-van pulled up outside a tobacconist’s shop in Commercial road, Whitechapel, early in the morning, wrenched off the padlocks and stole £5OO worth of cigars and cigarettes. These they loaded into the van and drove away. Two of the thieves’ confederates on bicycles mounted guard during the robbery and threatened an onlooker with what appeared to be a revolver until the van was well out of sight.
