NATIVE’S BODY FOUND. BELIEVED TO BE THE MURDERER. (By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) PEKIN, Jun 23. (Received June 24, 1 aun.) The Canton authorities state that the corpse of an Annamite, believed to be the would-be assassin of M. Merlin, was found in a river off the East Bund. (While a banquet was being tendered M. Merlin, Governor-General of Indo-China, a bomb was thrown into the room and exploded, five deaths ensuing).
