GOVERNORS WANTED
TASMANIA AND NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) LONDON, June 23. (Received June 23, 8.50 p.m.). The Daily Express says that Mr Stapleton Royce, a Socialist member of the House of Commons, is likely to be the next Governor of Tasmania. He is an agricultural expert. The Daily Mail says: Difficulty is being experienced in finding a successor to Lord Jellicoe acceptable to the New Zealand Government, which desires another Admiral, but the Labour ranks do not include an Admiral. It is suggested that Lord Wemyss be appointed.
